Lexcelera, open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. CET, leads in accelerated translations™
With extended opening hours, offices in both London and Paris and an extensive network of translators on five continents and across 20 time zones, Lexcelera is able to offer the short turnaround times and flexibility companies need for their urgent translations.
Enterprise clients frequently have time-critical translation requirements, whether for a 50-page contract to present to the judge the following morning, or a software program due to simship in17 languages.
Each situation calls for its own particular workflow, which may mean capitalizing on time zones for overnight delivery or assembling a large team of translators working collaboratively over a shared IT platform.
How an overnight project works
Challenge: A Fortune 500 company deploying SAP in their global accounting departments needed the procedures written in French by its 80-strong team of consultants to be available in English for the internal working group in the UK the following morning.
Lexcelera's solution: At the end of each day the French team submitted the deliverables to us, which were immediately transmitted by our team in the United States, eight hours behind Europe. At the end of the day in America, the English deliverables were returned in time for the working group to begin at 9 a.m London time.
How a collaborative project works
Collaborative translating methods allow Lexcelera to manage complex projects, which, because of time constraints, must be completed by teams of translators working together.
Challenge: 800,000 words of automotive manuals to be translated from English into South American Spanish in two weeks.
Lexcelera's solution: Since meeting this deadline would require a team of 30 translators, our solution to harmonize terminology was to have translators share their translation memories in real time so that the minute a new term was encountered, the whole team would have access to its translation. Rather than have an editor correct the text at the end of the project, our method was to employ an automotive engineer for the duration of the project to answer terminology questions and distribute the answers to the whole team. Our collaborative translation model ensures optimal quality for urgent, large-scale translations.
